Why We're Launching Lacrosse
The Illinois High School Association has approved Lacrosse as varsity high school sport in 2018 and the Kaneland School District 302 Athletic Department has recommended to the school board to make lacrosse a KHS Varsity sport in 2018. Adding lacrosse as a full high school varsity sport creates the need to develop youth athletes in the sport and prepare them for participating at the high school level.

Currently, Kaneland LAX fields lacrosse teams as a high school club sport and with the District's approval, will move to full varsity status in the spring.

Focus On A Quality Experience & Training
Kaneland United SC is known for providing quality youth soccer programs and following the US Soccer guidelines, including providing experienced and licensed soccer coaches to teach our players and develop their talent. Based on the Club's player development and professional coaching philosophy, we have chose to partner with River City Lacrosse to provide coaching, player development curriculum and access to local leagues.

In this partnership, lacrosse programs will be hosted at local facilities, including Waubonsee Community College and Kaneland High School. This includes training and clinics. In the near term, Kaneland teams will be formed and participate in lacrosse leagues operated by River City in the Batavia/St Charles/Geneva area. As the program grows, the plan is to host games at KHS and other nearby facilities.

New To Lacrosse?
Most players are, so don't let that stop you!

Lacrosse is an exciting sport for boys and girls that combines elements from basketball, hockey, soccer, track / cross country where both individual skill and team play come together. And its the fastest growing youth sports in the country.

With most players being new, our programs are focused on introducing players to the game while building the foundational skills to move into higher levels of play. And the emphasis is on fun and development.
