Coach Jason has developed youth and college soccer players since 1998 and currently holds a NSCAA National Youth License and USSF "D" License. Prior to choosing to work with Kaneland United in 2013, Jason led the Harper College Men's program from 2000 - 2014 and included being named the NJCAA Region IV Coach of the Year twice.

Other programs Jason has worked with include Glen Ellyn, Barrington High School, Exodus, Euro, Campton United, Lincolnshire, Crystal Lake Strikers and ELA Soccer Club.

One of Jason's best soccer memories includes being a part of the the US Navy Ambassadors Team from 1993 - 1997 which included playing local club teams from around the globe during port visits. 



Mike Mitchinson - VP Competitive Soccer, Coach, Trainer

Mike has developed youth and high school soccer players since 1996 and currently holds a USSF "E" License and an NSCAA Regional License. He has been coaching boys and girls within KYSO and KUSC programs since 2009. Mike led the St. Charles East Men's Soccer program from 2000 - 2003 which included 2 Sectional Championships and a Best of the Midwest Championship. He trained all conference and all state players while coaching at St. Charles East.

Other programs Mike has worked with include Strikers Fox Valley, St. Charles Soccer Club and Campton United. He has worked local camps such as Finishing Touch and Soccer Time Camps

Mike enjoys working with players of all ages developing their 'grit", technique and tactical awareness. 
 
Mike has 2 boys that play with KUSC and during the day he serves as an Elementary Principal in Oswego.

Dave Hancock - Coach - Trainer

Dave Hancock has over 20 years of coaching experience and holds US Soccer Federation National “A” and National Youth Licenses. His coaching experience includes leading the St Charles North and Geneva High School programs and coaching with the Illinois Olympic Development Program.  At the youth level, Dave was most recently with Campton United.

Hancock’s playing experience includes time at Eastern Illinois University where he was part of 2 NCAA Final Four teams, professionally with Gillingham FC in the English football league system, and a member of the Canadian Olympic Pool.

Bill Bruno - Coach - Trainer

Coach Bill has over 15 years of coaching experience and holds a USSF "B" coaching license.  His coaching experience includes Head women's soccer coach at Lewis University (NCAA D2) for 5 years, Illinois Olympic Development Program (ODP) for 10 years including assistant coach for a 2nd Place ODP Nationals girls team, Glenbard West High School, Sockers FC Chicago, and other club programs.

Coach Bill's playing experience includes Sockers FC (multiple state titles), ODP, and 4 years at Lewis University (2 conference titles).



Mo Gannon - Academy


Coach Mo has over 10 years of youth coaching experience and holds several USSF coaching licenses.  For several years she has been the head of the Little Knights program. Today she also assists with players in the Club's Academy program and travel program.


In addition to coaching soccer, Coach Mo has several years of youth coaching experience through school recreatuonal and sports like t-ball, baseball, volleyball, basketball and track. She also has a masters in education and has been teaching for 10 years. 


Mo played soccer during her youth, but changed to a variety of sports throughout her high school career including state level track honors. She followed with a college track career where she earned conference level honors.



Tom Guernon - Academy

Coach Tom has 10 years of youth coaching experience and holds several USSF coaching licenses.  Today he works with players in the Club's Academy program preparing them to join the travel / competitive teams.

Prior to joining the Academy program, Tom coached with Millard (NE) Youth Soccer, Kaneland United's Train & Play program, led the Club's recreational skills clinics and has coached all age groups in the fall and spring recreational program.

Tom began playing soccer as a U6 recreational player in a Club very similar to Kaneland and finished his playing career at the U20 Club level. He was a 3 year varsity starting player in high school and was recognized with regional, conference, and all tournament honors.
