Kaneland United SC

Coaching Resources

Kaneland United SC recreational and travel teams are led by volunteer coaches and the Club supports their development through various training and educational programs.

This page includes links to a number of valuable coaching resources, including information on training, licensing, certifications, club contacts and season long, age appropriate recreational training guides.

Volunteer recreational coaches are required to attend Club Coach Orientation and Heads Up certification before being assigned to their teams. And the Club provides support for obtaining F and E licenses where a coach is seeking additional education and credentials.

Volunteer travel coaches and Club trainer's minimum requirement is to hold an E license and complete Heads Up certification.

All coaches and trainers are required to complete background checks.

The Club strongly encourages ongoing education for all coaches and also provides opportunities for parent education.

Licensing

US Soccer with the Illinois Youth Soccer Association provide opportunities for youth soccer coaches to achieve licensing for youth soccer programs.
