Kaneland United SC is offering a summer run club to help our players with their conditioning and preparing for the fall soccer season. The run club is open to all families and players and will be led by parent volunteers. No registration is necessary.
The Kaneland United SC summer run club will meet at 6pm at the
Bliss Woods Forest Preserve on Bliss Rd in Sugar Grove and will use the
Kane County Forest Preserve District Virgil Gilman Trail. We've chosen the trail to take advantage of the surface, mile markers, lack of car traffic and shade!
Due to construction on Bliss Rd, entrance and exit into the Forest Preserve is restricted to traffic approaching from the north and using the southbound lane.
Meeting dates are:
Week 1Wednesday July 5 - 2 mile run
Thursday July 6 - 2 mile run
Week 2Monday July 10 - 2 mile run
Wednesday July 12
Thursday July 13
Week 3Monday July 17
Wednesday July 19
Thursday July 20
Week 4Monday July 24
Wednesday July 26
Thursday July 27
Week 5Monday July 31
Wednesday Aug 2
Thursday Aug 3
Meeting times are 6pm, then warm up, run and cool down and stretch. As the weeks progress, we'll mix up the training and distances. The first week will include 2 mile runs. We expect to wrap up by 7pm.
