Thank You Field Rolling Volunteers

Maple Park, IL

Kaneland United SC extends a thank you to the volunteers and donors who helped with field improvements on May 6, 7 & 8.

Spring soccer field improvements included rolling and leveling the surface of the community soccer fields near Kaneland High School.

Nearly 20 volunteers and club staff members provided their time over the weekend to perform the work. Equipment transport was provided by Caliber Towing in Sugar Grove and equipment from RentalMax in St. Charles.

Each soccer season, the fields are used by over 400 soccer players across the Club’s 50 plus recreational, academy and travel soccer teams. And enjoyed by nearly 1,000 friends and family members of Club players.

"It's always great when our volunteers turn out to support Club and also give back to the community" said Kaneland United SC President Sean Carmody.

The community soccer field land is owned by Kaneland Community Unit School District 302 and prepared for soccer use with funding and volunteer hours from Kaneland United SC, including seeding, weed control, mowing and soccer field preparation and lining.

The Club is currently working on plans for off season and fall improvements, including additional leveling and seeding of areas disturbed by the recent TransCanada gas pipeline work at Kaneland High School.
